I brought out the waterproof camera last week to discover we had some forgotten photos from Summer, so here they are! I love how much the boys have begun to love the water :)
How did I not know that the forests on Vancouver Island were so amazing for all of those years? They're breathtaking! I have only come to love them since I began mountain biking here a year and a half ago but we have been here for almost 12 years and never fully appreciated them. Because you can mountain bike here year round you really get to see the forest morph through the seasons. The colour of the moss changes drastically throughout the year and its brightness is stunning :) When the sun pops through with a little bit of mist up on Mount Work it's magical. I wish I had a photo of the rocks when they're wet.. they are gorgeous and shiny! If you're looking for peace and tranquility, you will surely find it here 💗
Biking in France was a dream...💕💗💖💕 I want to get on the very smooth road bike and ride effortlessly up to La Roque-Alric right now… lift the bike above my head to fit through the bushes without scratching it (because it was way too fancy) and sit at the viewpoint for a little while. I wish I had though; I could have washed the jersey easily but will never get back the chance to eat the pastry there. Well...not for a long while at least. Out on the beautiful little roads without cars, the most beautiful shade of blue sky, perfect puffy white clouds floating in the sky, with Ventoux always watching me as I g...
I could write about our transition from life in France to living back in Victoria...about my struggle, about loving mountain biking, about our beautiful kids finding their way with their friends and life here again, about Jeff and I carving out more time to spend together. Maybe I will one day.. but right now I'm just going to post about flowers. I appreciate nature so much more now... I have always loved flowers but I feel like I have slowed down a bit. Life is now never too busy to stop and smell the flowers - unless I'm trying to get a QOM. 😜 Almost every day I head outside to take flower photos in the yard :) So there ya go...here are some flower photos. Favorites: Peonies, irises, poppies, wisteria. lavender
