It has been a great Summer filled with so much swimming, ice cream, camping, exploring, and visiting with friends and family. I cannot believe we go back to reality tomorrow...  Here are a few photos from  some of the many things we got up to over the past few months :) I'm trying to remember all of the things we got up to... I could make a list .. maybe I will, but not tonight :)  Camping at The Living Forest  Camping at Rathtrevor Provincial Park  Ice cream on the beach!  Beautiful lavender from the lavender fest up in the Cowichan Valley  My brother with a bunch of monkeys  The beach to himself....

Living in France - January 2019!!

Image
That's the plan.. to have an experience of a lifetime by living in France for 6 months. It still feels like a pipe dream.  Yet, with all of this research I'm doing via the internet and meeting those in person to discuss their travel experiences,  I think we're on the right track to success. We have always wanted to spend time living in another country, and we have always had the travel bug. While the kids have been young we haven't traveled like we used to, but we knew we wanted to show our children the world somehow. When we moved to Victoria, and then when our first was enrolled in French Immersion at our nearby school, everything seemed a little more possible. We would try to live in France for a year. So what happened to the one year hope you ask? Fear of not getting back into our catchment school and having to split the kids up at different schools when we return. This is still a risk of course, but fingers crossed that the fact we are only going for the second h

Well, our littlest little is now 4! We recreated this picture from one I took when she turned 2. She's wearing the same clothes, my pearls, my grandma's tea cup and the quilt that my momma made for her :) Pretty special!

A Very Merry Christmas 2016

Image
Merry Christmas everyone :) This past Christmas season our kids were at the perfect ages! Everything was still magical and exciting. They were excited about the smallest things and were so easy going with presents, travel, late nights, and trying new things! We took an annual photo with the help of some sidewalk chalk... I had fun drawing it out, the kids enjoyed seeing results, and Jeff used his handy work with Photoshop to fix up the snowman. Of course we also had to get a Santa photo! They were so pumped to see him :) They raced to get dressed in nice clothes for the visit and everyone wanted something done with their hair.. a very rare occurrence! Thanks for a good visit Santa :) Our dining room was sporting a sweet French greeting and some super sweet paper whites :)
