Life with two monkeys!

Not too sure what to write about here.. i've been wanting to blog for weeks now but just haven't sat down to do anything about it. My boys are growing like weeds and I'm trying my best to soak it all up.

Reading a book with daddy

The summer was full of so many exciting and fun events that we did together both as a family and just myself and the boys. We were able to spend so much time with my mommy friends and their little ones, go camping, try out the local water parks and beaches, and spend some much needed time with family.

It has been interesting trying to split my time between the two boys, my social life, hobbies, housework, and my hubby. Thankfully I think my crazy pregnancy hormones have finally disappeared and the random crying has come to a halt! Halleluiah! Plus I'm feeling a tad more rested which means I can handle things a bit better overall... the house may not always be clean and the laundry isn't exactly always put away, but I'm enjoying my boys and this amazing journey we are all in together :)

Hudson and I on his first airplane ride. Off to Nelson to see my friends Brandie and Chris tie the knot!

Working with Dad
Bedtime with three boys (Linus included)... read a book and feed the cat treats!

My beautiful children. I'm so excited to watch them grow and learn :)

I'm going to be a mommy!

Well, if you haven't heard yet, now you know! I'm 24 weeks along in my pregnancy with our first bundle of joy. So far the pregnancy has gone pretty well. Luckily I did not have any morning sickness, instead of throwing up food, I inhaled it. You know how some preggos lose weight at the start of their pregnancy? I did the opposite and piled it on. Oh well, it's a healthy amount and if I didn't eat I would feel nauseous.

Jeff and I have decided to go with a midwife for several reasons and so far have had a great experience. I've had all of my blood work done and went in for the ultrasound at 19 weeks. We are so thankful that both the blood tests and ultrasound came out great! We got to see our little bean moving around and made us really think.. wow.. there's something alive in there! :)

So far the last 3 weeks have been the best weeks of the pregnancy. I have quite a bit more energy and I look pregnant. The only complaint I have is SLEEP! Or, lack thereof. I guess my hips have been swelling up like crazy and causing sciatica. Within 5 minutes of lying down on my side my hips fall asleep (like you sit too long cross legged), and then I usually wake up in the middle of the night with horrible pains in my hips, fun times! Thanks to Jeff's bright idea of icing them before bed I have minimized the pain and am sleeping a bit better.

The newest occurrence with the pregnancy is Braxton Hicks contractions. I had no idea that these could occur so early in the pregnancy, and thought it was common to get these when you were about 9 months. I guess not! They're just the tightening of my pelvic muscles and usually don't hurt. However, they have been hurting for me and usually take my breath away. I guess i'll be somewhat prepped for the real deal?

Anywho, that's all for now. Thanks for reading!
