Well, the belly is definitely growing quickly these days, and my weight is going up accordingly. I've gained quite a bit thus far, a whopping 23 lbs! Oh well, i'm eating quite healthy and exercising quite often as well, so hopefully it will all melt off afterwards..hopefully. Jeff and I visited the midwife yesterday to get the little bean checked out and all seems to be okay. I'm measuring exactly where I should be at this point, and the heartbeat is at ~150 beats per minute. Only 100 days to go until the due date! AHH!
On another note I have been stressing out about our living conditions. Our condo went on the market on the 23rd of Jan and we accepted an offer just this past week. Now we just have to wait for subjects to be removed (fingers crossed!). If all goes well then we have to be out at the end of February! Yikes! Jeff and I are off to Victoria sometime this weekend to house shop and hopefully find us a place to live! Extremely exciting times, yet stressful as well. We didn't think we would have to find a place so quickly. Wish us luck!
Baby is kicking up a storm these days, goes on for hours at a time! I'm so excited to be a mommy!
Thanks for reading :) Have a great week!

I'm going to be a mommy!
Well, if you haven't heard yet, now you know! I'm 24 weeks along in my pregnancy with our first bundle of joy. So far the pregnancy has gone pretty well. Luckily I did not have any morning sickness, instead of throwing up food, I inhaled it. You know how some preggos lose weight at the start of their pregnancy? I did the opposite and piled it on. Oh well, it's a healthy amount and if I didn't eat I would feel nauseous.
Jeff and I have decided to go with a midwife for several reasons and so far have had a great experience. I've had all of my blood work done and went in for the ultrasound at 19 weeks. We are so thankful that both the blood tests and ultrasound came out great! We got to see our little bean moving around and made us really think.. wow.. there's something alive in there! :)
So far the last 3 weeks have been the best weeks of the pregnancy. I have quite a bit more energy and I look pregnant. The only complaint I have is SLEEP! Or, lack thereof. I guess my hips have been swelling up like crazy and causing sciatica. Within 5 minutes of lying down on my side my hips fall asleep (like you sit too long cross legged), and then I usually wake up in the middle of the night with horrible pains in my hips, fun times! Thanks to Jeff's bright idea of icing them before bed I have minimized the pain and am sleeping a bit better.
The newest occurrence with the pregnancy is Braxton Hicks contractions. I had no idea that these could occur so early in the pregnancy, and thought it was common to get these when you were about 9 months. I guess not! They're just the tightening of my pelvic muscles and usually don't hurt. However, they have been hurting for me and usually take my breath away. I guess i'll be somewhat prepped for the real deal?
Anywho, that's all for now. Thanks for reading!
